Kia Ora and welcome to Orakei School.

Orakei School is a small year 1 to 8 full primary situated in a park like setting of over 300 mature trees in the seaside suburb of Orakei. Within five minutes of the downtown Central Business District, yet set in a physical environment more reminiscent of rural New Zealand, we have a culturally rich student cohort and parent community.

We have a dedicated teaching staff who deliver high quality educational programmes. We offer a safe nurturing environment for our students with a focus on building leadership skills and a love of life long learning. Our students know each other, care for each other and are passionate about their learning.

We have an active parent group who support our school in numerous ways and are very welcoming to new parents in the school community.

Parents who choose Orakei School for their children’s education do so for a number of reasons, including the quality of education on offer, the safe family atmosphere that pervades the school and the intimacy of its size. Orakei students have all the opportunities that larger schools provide, but have a greater chance of availing of these opportunities.
